Curious Not Triggered:
Why coaching?
Coaching is a powerful space in which to explore the challenges, dilemmas and possibilities you are grappling with alongside a coaching confidant who will support and challenge you in equal measure.
Our coaches will ask powerful and probing questions and offer different perspectives while helping you to achieve what you want most, to find the answer to, or have insight on in your career and in life. Everything discussed is confidential. Coaches will always be in their coachee’s corner with their best interests and agenda at heart.
How it Works:
Organisations
We start with an organisational contracting meeting between The Curious Coaching Company project-lead and your organisation sponsor to explore the parameters for a 3-way working contract. We will cover confidentiality, ethics, safeguarding and any concerns, questions or queries you may have. At the end of this meeting, we will write an organisational agreement setting out the scope of the work.
Once the organisational scope is agreed, we start the process of matching the organisation’s coachees to a coach. Clients will be sent introductions to coaches, from which they can pick their preferred coach. Once a coach has been selected, there follows a three-way meeting between the sponsor, the coach and the coachee to set the goals for the individual coachee and ensure alignment with the organisational scope.
Individual coachees then benefit from a chemistry session, individual executive coaching sessions and contracting/review sessions with the coach and line manager. The organisation also benefits from check-in sessions between the sponsor and The Curious Coaching Company project-lead at the mid and end points of the programme.
At the end of the programme, we will review your organisational and individual progress and suggest the next steps.
How it Works:
Individual Coaching
We begin by asking you to pick a coach from a provided set of profiles. You’ll meet your coach for a free 30-minute conversation to learn about each other, explore what you want from your coaching process and to understand more about how your coach works. You’ll then both decide if the partnership will work, and you’ll book in your first session.
Sessions typically take place every 4-6 weeks. Your coach will begin the process by drawing up a contract with you for how you might work together and establishing the goals for the sessions. Your coach, with your permission, will challenge and support you in equal measure using models and tools to help expand your thinking and perspectives about ways forward. They may encourage you to share what you are experiencing, and they may share what they are experiencing, so that you both learn from the partnership. This is known as a relational approach.
Towards the end of the six sessions, you’ll review your progress. You may finish at this point, or you may decide you want to continuemwith your work in coaching.
